[ Interview w/ David ] [ Getting Personal ]
Y MAZES have everything to do with my spiritual life. Each time I am inspired by an archetypal symbol
and find within it the beginning and ending of a maze. I know I'm about to explore another aspect of the journey of existence.
Each time I plant an obstacle or devise an escape along the way, in my own mind I'm artistically depicting a new challenge in
the odessey each of us undertakes in our experience on the soul level to achieve our ultimate goal: the integration of spiritual
potential and life experience, the ending that is also a new beginning.
I make mazes because they are interactive art, because for me making a beautiful piece of work is not enough. What drives me
artistically is to make art and the viewer one. I want more than a momentary glance from you. I don't consider my mazes finished
until you try to solve then. This way you actually become an integral part of each maze as you learn it's ins and outs, corners
and dead ends.
